Grove Messenger enlisted [with his 3 brothers] to fight in the War of 1812. He was in the Ohio Infantry [3rd Regiment, Private] and was reportedly in Hull's Army and was injured near Detroit. He was then taken to Montreal where he died in Montreal Hospital on January 29, 1814. [this is documented in a letter from Col. Rob Gardner to Gen. John Major dated April 24, 1814]. I would very much like to find any information that could lead me to find out what the British did with these prisoners, specifically where they might be buried. Thanks in advance.
