My 4th gr grandfather, Reuben Wright, b 1779, VA & who lived in the Brunswick/Lunenburg Co. area, was in the War of 1812. He was awarded land in IL for his service but only one son, James Gilbert Wright, ever lived there. Reuben went from VA to Greene Co. OH & then on to Henry & Hancock Co. IN where he died in 1856. It appears that he was pre-deceased by his wife, Joannah (Gilbert) Wright whom he married in 1798, Sussex Co. Va.

I want to order military papers on Reuben since I've been unable to find his parents or much about him after years of research. Can anyone advise me as to what to order for the most genealogical value & benefit? The approximate cost of these papers would also be appreciated. I'm interested in family/gen info & not the Battles, Officers, etc. Thank you very much for anyone willing to share this info.
