William A. R. Walz was born in 1846 in Annaberg, Zauche Buchholz, Germany. This town is near Berlin. He came to Rock Island, IL in 1867 because his Aunt Fredericka Walz Hoenecke (Haneke) was there. He also had an aunt named Louise Hartmann that lived south of Rock Island. His mother was Caroline Walz Klicks Wille who is buried in Hampton, IL. We believe the parents of Fredericka, Louise, and Caroline were Christian Walz and Caroline Lehman. Anyone have any information?
