Yes, Asaph, Arca, Eliza and Moses are all children of Samuel W. Walling born Jan 23, 1794 and Alice Payne. I don't have a birthdate or marriage date or much else on Alice. One reference states that she was a neice of Thomas Paine the political philosopher and author. A Walling cousin that remained in RI married a Payne, there may be a connection?

The chart I have says Morrell m.1847, that's all I have on him. Arca would have born about 1820 so I see this must be a incorrect such that Morrell must have been bort about 1847.

I would start by assuming that Samuel and Alice were married in Hartford, NY before removing to Gouveneur, NY. Then, some of the children, all born in Gouveneur might have moved west. One of those children, Eliza, married John Rundle, who you have found in MI 1850. I also know that John and Eliza had 4 children, Arthur S., Julius, Effie and ?(died young).

I can copy what I have and send it your way. I'm a little behind on this chore for Colleene who began this querry. I'll make two copies.

I have several jewels that as you have guessed were passed down through the family. Foremost is a small book written by Archelaus for one of his children so they could remember the ages of their brothers and sisters. I assume he passed out several such books since he had 11 children.

There are several other things but the primary thing I use for reference is a large chart that was updated and re-written many time over the years. The branches that stayed close to NY are well represented. The branches that moved west are shown for a generation or two and then were lost. I've been picking up some updates which I have meant to add to my copy of the chart, but haven't yet... Sure is fun but I wish I had more time.
