Carrie Walling was born in NY about 1847, 33 yrs. old in 1880 in Steuben County, IN~gave inf. that parents born in England. Married Harmon Gilson Brown in Calhoun County, MI on 04 May 1879. Harmon's brother Calvin lived in Calhoun County, MI. Moved to Steuben County, Flint Village after marriage. Stepmother to Harmon Gilson Brown's children by previous marriage to a Harriet VanBlaricum they are: John Charles born about 1850's in NY George born 1850's Jennie E. born about 1861 Orla (Oral) Almond born Sept. 23 1873 Calvin born about 1876 THEN THEY HAD: Melza Clinton Brown, born in Steuben County, IN in May 1880 Guy Brown, born ? (possibly a pharmacist in Flint, IN or MI) Carrie All moved to Spink County, Doland, South Dakota in the 1880's. Melza married Madge Louise Tainter 02 Sep 1903 & had 3 sons: Vincent Allison 21 Aug 1904 in Kalamazoo,mi Kenneth Willard- about 1905 Gerald Daniel- 26 Oct. 1911 in Boyne City, MI (my father) Inf. from U S Brown Book by Blaine Brown & family.
