I tracked down more info. Please help us. Thanks!

Joseph E. Walling (looks like E could be Edwin or Edward)I have ordered some of his military records (told it may take 6 months). He married Elizabeth Casper 2/16/1865 Beloit, Wisconsin. He entered the Civil War as a veteran of another Feb. 3 or 8, 1865 47th Wisconsin Infantry company H, Veteran Volunter corps. as Seargent. He was mustered out 9/4/1865. Residence listed as Beliot, Wisconsin.

See my other posts above on the link to a picture of him & a listing of 1893 NE veteran census.

I have found info on many Wallings in this site

Eden Walling from Beloit Wisc, enlisted 8/5/1862; 22nd Wisconsin Infantry, company I, was discharged 1/24/1863 disability. I now believe this Eden was a brother of my Joseph E. Walling (father of Charles Edwin "Ed" Walling) Both also listed in the GAR in NE in my above other posts. We don't know who their parents are.

Also listed (to help other researchers) were: Jeremiah Walling, Percy H. Walling, Saxton Walling, Saxton N. Walling, Walter Walling (more info can be found at he site above)

Joseph E. Walling had other children w/ Elizabeth Casper as follows Ella Mae, Ralph, Pearl & Mary who married Levi Bennett also listed in the Wisconsin civil war list above & in the GAR site listed in the other post & in the Masonic Lodge, Easter Star rolls provided in my last 2 posts above. Levi & Mary Walling Bennett had Alta Bennett who married Arlie Dix (brother of Carrie Kansas Dix who married Hiram Leroy "Roy" Atwood 3/4/1903 in Boyd co Nebraska. This Hiram Leroy Atwood's younger brother Logan John Atwood married Charles Edwin Walling & Katherine "Kate" O'Mahoney Walling's daughter Mae Elizabeth "Lizzy" Walling.

Charles Edwin Walling married Katherine "Kate" O'Mahoney in Woodstock, Pipestone, Minnesota on 10/28/1890 see record at the Pipestone Museum (which by the way has been awarded the the US Gov as one of the best sites for a town & county historic site) see archives & marriage listings for Walling in groom & o'Mahoney for brides.

We are trying to find info on all these & missing Walling persons & siblings & most importantly where & who does this Joseph E. Walling come from?
