I have been given a bag full of papers on the Walling Family, and would like to share. On top of the stack is a photocopy of a 59-page typewritten history of the Walling Family from 1623-1945, compiled by Maudie S. Walling, of Dallas, Texas. It begins with the Village of Hulton, England, goes to Plymouth (1623), Boston, Rhode Island, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Texas.

In addition, there are lists of marriages, land transfers, probate data, burials, etc.

There is a copy of a notarized statement by James Alford Walling, that gives lots of information. Also included in this bunch of papers is a compilation on James Alford Walling's family tree, written by his daughter, Lula Hal Walling Hildebrand.

As a side note, the name is sometimes given as Walden.

This is not my family, but it's very interesting information. If you have some specific names you're looking for, I would be happy to try and find them for you, but please keep in mind that I work a full-time job, and my response may be delayed a bit. There are no indexes to any of these things, so it will just be a matter of reading them to hunt for names. If you can give me something besides just a name, like a date or parents' names, it would make it easier to search.
