Chris, like the last person to post under this topic, I hope that you are still answering email & have those photos available. Perhaps you have by now put them up on a web page so folks can have a look & download them without you having to answer every query individually? If not, I am interested in photos of Colonel Jesse & brothers & any photos of Nancy, a daughter of Col. Jesse & Nancy Parker. A couple of years ago, I made the family pilgrimage with my mother, my son, & my granny (Mary Jeanette Roberts Sandeson, daughter of Nancy Walling and Isaac Roberts). We have cemetery photos from Millsville (city now gone-in East Texas near Lufkin; see http://www.hendersontx.us/index.asp?nid=61) & from the relocated Lake Whitney cemetery. I'll share those with folks, too, as soon as I get them scanned. Finally, I'd like everyone to know that the folks at the Henderson, TX (near Lufkin) Depot Museum Complex (http://www.hendersontx.us/index.asp?nid=61) are taking great care of Thomas Jefferson Walling's log cabin. The people there are lovely; they gave us excellent directions to the Millsville Cemetery when many, many Wallings are buried--they even let us take a photo off the wall (of TJ & his wife) to photocopy at a local store. At our Roberts family reunion that year (in Wilson, OK), we took up a collection to send to the museum--like all small town historical museums, they can use every penny they get! Thanks to everyone on this genealogy list--you've made my work SO much easier! Jeanetta Calhoun Mish |
