This very unlikely to all be related. The name is of Germanic root meaning stranger, Welsh, Walloon, Wallisch etc and so could be a common one. My Wallens originate as Protestants in Ireland, the first birth date I have is 1719, and come to North America via Jamaica where they were slave owners. Confusingly there are Wallens from the States who lived in Kent Co Ontario at the same time.
However it is possible that all the American Wallens in the 19th centrury derive from one source, possibly a Dutchman in New Amsterdam.
