Frances, Thank you so much for your work! I had started to piece some of this together last week, but school and work has gotten in the way and I haven't had the chance. But I'm completely confused know with the three messages. So are you thinking that Hannah's mother Dumas (Eunice, whatever) was a Cross originally? Dumas then married/had Hannah with a man named Wall, then married a Cross? I know that marriage between cousins was acceptable (I have evidence of it elsewhere in my tree, yay me!) but that seems a bit off. Lionel Wall, CB's son, Hannah's grandson, is still living, he's in his 80's and I haven't talked with him since my grandfather died in 2003. I will call him up to see if he has any knowledge of this, he is a genealogy lover so I'm sure he discovered much of this long ago. However, I'm going to keep digging just in case he's unable to give me much information. |
