One line of my ancestry can be traced back to a James Walkley, a woolcomber of Tetbury in Gloucestershire, who was buried there in 1663. He married Mary Hooper at Tetbury in 1650, and they had 5 children, including a son James, a woolstapler of Tetbury, from whom I am descended. He was baptised at Tetbury in 1654 and buried there in 1730, and married to Hester Morton in 1677, also at Tetbury. Is there anyone out there researching these families or who can link James senior into their own research – the trail seems to have run cold in Tetbury!
