Morning Lyn I have checked in the 1891 UK Census available on Find My Past- www.findmypast.co.uk I searched assuming that all three were known by the Last Name of GRIFFITHS (or variants) and were actually recorded in that Census etc. I first checked for Joseph,, born 1883 +- 5 years, with grother George present. I then looked through TRanscribed versions pf those Search the results, for additionally a mother named Ellen. Only one HOUSEHOLD came up, fulfilling those conditions- Household GRIFFITHS, Joseph 1887 4 M Prescot Lancashire AND the mother is named as Sarah Ellen Griffiths. Pf course, it may be that she was known simply as "Ellen" on an every-day basis. ============================== Slthough that is the only Household fulfilling those Search Parameters, it does NOT GUARANTEE that it is your ancestral family. You need to do a lot more work, preferably on Primary Source sites such as FMP above. I suggest that you track back both Joseph and George in detauil, first (presumably) in the Australian Official Records, such as their Deaths, MaMarriages and Arrivals, then back across to the UK. ================================ This MAY or MAY NOT be your grandfather and family sailing to Australia, ignore the other "Mr Joseph Griffiths" who is an Adult travelling without other Griffiths.
