CRIGHTON is more likely to be Scottish in origin.
If you got to this site, you will find that its main distribution is in Scotland, with very few elsewhere in the UK-
The 1881 Census distribution is particularly relevant as being earlier and therefore less disturbed by the easier travel etc of the 20th century.
There is this road-
Tarry Road, Arbroath, (Scotland) United Kingdom
Arbroath is virtually in the middle of the densest 1881 Census distribution; BUT whwther there is a connection is another question!
Correapondingly, there are some PINSON results in the Wolverhampton England area, not far from Wales, so there may be some confusion, whilst TARRY as a Surname is down in Leicestershire England.
