My great-grandfather was Charles Waer of Whittier- grandfather is Arthur Lincoln Waer (Whittier), Father is James Arthur Waer (San Diego). So I guess we're related??!!? Would you have any genaeological information about Charles and back? The information that we have is that the family came from Wales to New Jersey and made their way west... but after reading these postings I'm wondering about the initial port of exit, since I'm seeing Belgium and Germany as well in relation to our funky name. :)
