I found Ann J and Charles H Fleming in 1901 living in Assiniboia East, The Territories in an index where they don't list the children.
Then I found them in 1916 living in Saskatonn, Saschatewan, Canada. Ann was b. abt. 1859.
In Dec. 1917 Ann Jane and Charles Harvey Fleming entered the U.S. at Sumas, WA. Ann's b. abt. 1859, Ontario, Canada, Nationality-Canadian, Race=Scotch. Charles Harvey Fleming, 63 yrs old, farmer, Nationality-Canadian, Race or People=Scotch, Last Permanent Address Asquatch or Asquith, Saskchewan, Can. Daughter Mrs. Ethel Ardmore, Asquith, Saskchewan, Can. Final Destination=Sedro-Woolley, WA. Source: Seattle Passenger and Crew Lists 1882-1957, www.ancestry.com.
I'd look for children in these locations.
In 1930 Charles and Ann J. Fleming were living in Tacoma, Pierce Co., WA.
Charles, b. MN, 74 yrs old, marr @ 24, no occupation.
Anne J., b. Ontario, Can, 71, marr @ 21.
Because of their age, they didn't have children in the U.S. however children could have moved to where the parents lived.
Charles H. Fleming d. 15 Nov 1933, Sedro-Woolley, Skagit Co. Wife=Ann Jane Fleming. Source: Washington State Digital Archives, www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/ .
I'd request a copy of his obituary from the Washington State Library, www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx . They will search the newspaper microfilm for 60 minutes at no charge. They will email you with what they do or don't find.
Survivors are generally listed in the obituary. Since it's been so many years and if survivors are listed in WA, I'd use Washington State Digital Archives (web site listed above) to find info on the survivor.
Then I'd use www.whitepages.com to look up current contact info. Successful Searching!
