This should help you. I am not related.

The 1930 Census for Dewey, Skagit County, Washington, enumerated April 2.
Shapley, George A. age 28, born in Michigan
Kathleen E, 23, born in Tennessee
George A, son, 5 5/12 (circa Nov/Dec 1924) (the enumerator got the month wrong, see below).
Fred I, 3 3/12 (circa December 1926/January 1927). (correct months).

I find George A. Shapley, JR, born 1924, enlisted in the army on 20 January 1943 in Tacoma, WA. He was from Skagit County. He had two years of high school, was single, 69 inches in height and 131 pounds.
I find a George A. Shapley, born 19 Oct 1924, died 19 October 2005. His "last residence" (not always where they lived, but where the final benefit [death payment] was sent) was Okanogan, Okanogan County, WA.
His Obituary:
George A. Shapley
George A. Shapley, 81, of Okanogan died Nov. 23, 2005, at Valley Care Center after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Big Lake, Wash., to George and Kathleen Shapley. George was raised in Anacortes, Wash., where he met and married his wife of 62 years, Marjorie E. Brand. They moved to Alaska in 1948 where, other than for a few forays to the lower 48, they raised their five children.
Memorial services will be held at the Gospel Hall in Okanogan on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005.

I find Fred Ivan Shapley, born 24 December 1926, in Santa Clara, CA, mothers maiden name Willis.
I find Fred in Alaska (like his brother):
This shows: Fred I Shapley, Box 67, Craig, AK 99921, phone 907-826-2734.
