First, let me offer my condolences on your loss. I am not related, but I did some searching and believe I have found the correct family. In searching, I found a couple of other queries (one by Julie Denney in 1997) looking for her mother's parents: Maudie Chelsea and Harvey Lundberg and her brother Harvey Leonard Lundberg, Jr.

another query in 2003 said: I am looking for my Uncle (Mom's brother) - born in approximately 1939, in the Ellensburg Washington area.My mother's name is Maudie Cora Lundberg born October 1, 1931 in Ellensburg. Mom & Uncle were separated when she was 14 and he 6.

Hopefully when the 1940 census becomes available in April, you'll be able to find them together as a family unit.

I started by looking for Harvey Leonard Lundberg Jr because it is often easier to trace the men than women.

Here's Harvey Jr's death record

California Death Index, 1940-1997 about Harvey Leonard Lundberg
Name:        Harvey Leonard Lundberg
Social Security #:        518388595
Sex:        Male
Birth Date:        21 Jan 1936
Birthplace:        Washington
Death Date:        11 Nov 1958
Death Place:        Riverside
Mother's Maiden Name:        Chelcie
Father's Surname:        Lundberg

U.S. Veterans Gravesites, ca.1775-2006 about Harvey Leonard Lundberg
Name:        Harvey Leonard Lundberg
Service Info.:        SSGT US AIR FORCE KOREA
Birth Date:        21 Jan 1936
Death Date:        11 Nov 1958
Interment Date:        4 Dec 1958
Cemetery:        Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery
Cemetery Address:        P.O. Box 6237 San Diego, CA 92166
Buried At:        Section T Site 179

Note that the California record says his mother's maiden name is "Chelcie". While that is not quite accurate, it is too coincidental for this not to be the right Harvey Leonard Lundberg. His grandmother was named Chelcie.

Noting that he was Harvey Junior (and looking at the names in the first query I found) I assumed that his father's name was also Harvey Lundberg.

Using the Washington Digital Archives, I found a marriage record for Harvey L Lundberg and Maud

Washington Digital Archives
www.digitalarchives.wa.gov
Harvey L Lundberg married Maude C Fyfe on 3 February 1922 in Vancouver, Clark, Washington. Both listed as residents of Multnomah County Oregon
There is a digital copy of the certificate online for free.

I continued searching for marriages for Maude because I assumed from Harvey Jr's death record that her maiden name was Chelcie, not Fyfe.

Again at the Washington Digital Archives, I found

Daily Statistics in the Oregonian newspaper July 9, 1919 states James is 24 and Maude is 20.
