I am seeking to learn about Benjamin Hadley and his son Ebenezer who came to Brattleboro, VT about 1770 as early settlers.
Benjamin bought the "COVEY FARM" from Wilder Rice.
After his death about 1776, I believe the farm was inherited by son Ebenezer Hadley and then to his son Jesse Hadley. When Jesse wanted to remove to Sandy Creek, NY with some of his children, he sold the farm to his brother, Jacob Hadley.
Can anyone locate the land transfers for me showing the transactions of this property? I now think the farm is part of that which belongs to the Thurber family and is on Ames Hill Road in West Brattleboro.
