Vogt. Voigt/ Voight. I am rebuilding the story of a early settlement of Germanic peoples in Nunawading in the then hinterland of Melbourne in Victoria Ausralia. I am looking for family, and researchers into the place, background and consequent, dispersal and spread of descendants of Fredrick Voight who died in Nunawading Victoria in 1859 age 60. Also, maybe his son by his first wife, maybe not, Francis August Voigt who married Kezia Dau/Dew/Daw and had 11 or more children in Nunawading and Boroondara. Children: Samuel Frederick 1854, married Joann Bertha Gerlach 1883; Wilhelm Henry Voight 1856 married Mary Scott; Alexander 1861; Amey Amelie Charlotte 1864; Maria 1866; Louisa 1866; Anna 1867; Minna 1867; Samuel Johann 1872; Elsie May who marrid Christian Norman Olsen; and Geo Thomas Voight, 1896. I am interested in the Voigt place of origin , arrival, port of departure, reason fro emigration etc. ? Can anyone tell me about Kezia Dau/ Dew/Daw, her place of origin? arrival in Australia, family in Prussia? etc? or Australia?
