Horfield is part of the Clifton area of Bristol; now it is city, but back then it was countryside. My direct ancestor John (b.ca1815) emigrated with his wife and elder children to New Zealand in 1850. I have a lot of information about their descendants, but very little about his parents and siblings; perhaps you can help? The parents were John Vickery (b.ca1786, d. Oct 1824 Horfield), a husbandman, and Hannah nee? (b.ca1771 not in Glos, d.1851). The children found listed in the Horfield parish records were: Mary Ann (b.ca1808), Anne(B.ca1810, d.Oct 1839), Benjamin (b.6 Mar 1812), John (b.ca1815, d.10 Aug 1893 Christchurch, NZ), and Thomas (b.Apr 1819). Mary Ann married William Thomas 16 Jan 1831 Horfield. Benjamin married Jane. John married Mary Parish 16 Aug 1840 Horfield. Thomas married Harriet Kennedy 26 May 1844 and later Mary.
