2. Nicholas Vermillion (b. 1805)
Nicholas married Elizabeth Lewis (b. 1819) on January 11, 1837 in Washington, DC. They had five children:
a. John Vermillion (b. 1841)
b. Nathan G. W. Vermillion (b. 1844)
c. Joseph N. Vermillion (b. 1846)
Joseph married Mary Ann Earp on June 5, 1873. They appeared on the 1880 Census in Vansville with their children: Ida May (b. 1874), James (b. 1876), Lewis L. (b. 1878), and his mother Elizabeth.
d. Jane Irene Vermillion (b. 1848)
e. Alfonso Rudolphus Vermillion (b. Nov. 26, 1855, d. Jan. 25, 1921)
Alfonso married Annie E. Harrison on Aug. 11, 1875*. They had five children: Howard Milton Vermillion (b. 1877, d. 1926), Clara Vermillion (b. 1879), Lydia Viola Vermillion (b. 1882), Narval Vermillion (b. 1884, d. 1918), and Olga Mae Vermillion (b. 1892, d. Aug. 12, 1977).
