I am hoping that someone can help me find information on my great-grandfather Elzy Vansickle, who was born in 1872 in AK and moved to Texas.

Elzy is shown with his wife and children in the 1900 census in Quinlan, Hunt, Texas. It indicates that he was born in Arkansas in March 1872. In that same census he is living next to/with a Thomas M. Vansickle who was born in September 1869 in Arkansas (likely his brother).

Does anyone know if they were the children of Miles Vansickle (1841-1900) from Hot Springs, AK? And is Miles in turn the son of William Vansickle (1816-1862), son of (Benjamin) Ephraim Vansickle (1790-1838 Texas), who somehow ties into the old New Jersey/New York Vansickle family?

I can't help but think that "Elzy" is the namesake of Elias S ("Elzy") Vansickle (1819-1880), the soldier, who it appears was William's brother.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
