Jeannie. In the 1850 census for Washington Co. Ohio there was a William K or H Hughs age 6 b:PA living with Neil and Joanna along with there daughter Ellen C. 1 month, they had two more children Isabella b:abt.1853 and Thomas J b:21 Apr.1859 d:8 Apr 1930 Elburn, Kane Co.,ILL. Ellen married Adam Kepler abt.1867 in Ohio, Isabella married Samuel Farley in Ohio and Thomas J married Trincey Watson m:9 Jan 1888 in Ohio. William must be from Joannas previous marriage in PA because Neil is living in Washington Co. Ohio in the 1840 census and Joanna and Neil did not get married until 1849, Neil died 3 July 1872 Washington Co. Ohio, in the 1860 census for Washington Co. ohio William is listed as 19 yrs. and his last name is McGeachy, Neil either adopted him or William took his last name? the 1870 census for Washington Co. Ohio William is gone, McGeachy is spelled McGatchy, Joanna is listed as Annie but the age is wrong 38, should be 48, living next door is Ellen and her Husband Adam Kepler along with there two daughters, Nancy A (Alice) and ?, Ellen was counted twice, once as a Kepler and once as a McGeachy, Isabella and Thomas are still there. In the 1880 census for Washington Co.Ohio I found a William McGachey age 35 and his wife Mary (Stoup) age 38 four daughters, Cora age 16, Maggie age 13, Clara age 12 and Emma age 10 also listed is Isabel Stoup motherinlaw. After 1870 Joanna is gone I have no Idea were she went. There is a Vansickle that married Isabella (unknown last name) and they had 4 children, Henry P. b:abt.1820 PA.,Samuel,William and Joanna. That is as close as I have gotten with finding Joannas parents. There is a book "The Axfords of Oxford, New Jersey" by Armstrong 1931 pg.12 that lists a Samuel Van Sickle that married 1st- Joanna Axford, he married 2nd Isabella Axford sister to Joanna, as far as I can tell this family never left NJ and the children do not match.
