Hi, Dianne. I don't check this forum very often, so I just found your post about the Gravesend map. There are a number of maps of early Gravesend. If you go to the following URL, you will find a number of choices: http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Map/Maps.Main.html
The very first one is of the map to which you refer, and is incorrectly said to be a map laid out by Lady Moody. It is part of a larger map, on which you can clearly see a proposed railroad. The third is a map from 1646, I believe, by Tehune, and further down another map from 1873, clearly showing the original center, which shows Hubbard property, and also much other development. I'm a descendent of Ferdinand Van Sicklen, and very interested in Flatbush and Gravesend.
