Cornelius, b. 1775, Poughkeepsie, s.o. Ferdinand VS and Elizabeth Brouwer, moved to Brighton, Ontario in 1804 Ferdinand, b. Gravesend, 1753, s.o. Cornelius VS and Femmentje Van Der Veer. The elder Cornelius and son Ferdinand were both Revolutionary War Vets, having served with the Dutchess Militia. Cornelius b. 1726 Gravesend, s.o. Ferdinand VS and Mary Laan Ferdinand b. 1688, Long Island, s.o. Reynier VS and Jannetje Van Hooren Reynier, b. 1661, s.o. Ferdinandus VS and Eva Antonis van Salee Ferdinandus, b. 1635, across the pond. Lot b29, Brighton Twp, Ontario includes a Van Sicklen family Cemetery, where most of this family is buried.
