Lou Anne, Do you have any information in your Book by Effie Smith, of Mariah VanPelt who married William Smart in Highland County Ohio? Their daughter married Elias Grove/s 6 Nov 1865. A John Grove married (license issued) 20 Jan 1823 to Susannah VanPelt - Highland County Ohio. Am wondering about the surname Degreau. Could this Dutch name have become DeGrove/Grove in America?
