Kevin: I believe this is the family line that may help. This is from my husband's family tree for Richard Valentine: Richard Valentine (1) born in England about 1620. Came from Eccles England. Lived in Hempstead LI Married Jane? Rachel? Had 10 children. Obadiah (2) was the 6th child. Born in 1661 (or before) died Oct 4, 1743. Married to Mary (no last name) in 1688 and 2nd wife Martha Thurston in May 27, 1725. Obadiah and Mary had 11 children. No children from Martha. Thomas(3)was their 3rd child born in West Hills LI in 1695 and died in 1782. Was married to Sarah Dean at Jamaica Epis Church Sept 12, 1717. Had 2 children. Thomas (4) born in West Hills LI 1718 and died Dec 27, 1782. Was married to Elizabeth Hewlett at Jamaica Epis Church in 1743 or 1744. Elizabeth's father was John Hewlett from Woodbury LI. They had 10 children and Absalom (5) was their 9th child. Absalom was married to Susan Bumpstead who was from Woodbury. I have no dates of birth, death or marriages for Absalom or Susan.
