Alice, it's been a year, but I've tracked down more information on Elizabeth's Husband, with documents containing her deposition to the Confederate States. Levi Hutcherson was a Private in Co K, VA 42nd Infantry, and died May 1 or 2, 1862 of Typhoid Fever, sometime later during payroll audits it was found he was never paid, and she was able to obtain his pay from time of enlistment, which was Mar 20, 1862. I have copies of his service records, including the deposition letter in which references Elizabeth J Hutcherson receiving his pay. I'm still looking for more information pertaining to her death which I'm aware was prior to 1870.
