I'm trying to locate information on the following families who settled in Tallapoosa County: Tarrant, Webb, and Rowell. The Webb & Rowell families moved from Virginia to Alabama, and then to Texas. My Great Grandfather, Charles Henry Webb (b Feb 8, 1852-d Sept. 13, 1941) married Margaret L. Tarrant (b Apr. 22, 1855-d Feb, 1942). They were married Dec. 10, 1874 and had 11 children. The family lived in the Dallas, Tx area in the 1890s, and moved to Oklahoma around 1900. Margaret's parents were William M. Tarrant, b Mar. 10, 1818-d 23 Mar., 1894 -- and Mary Eliza Ellis. They were married May 3, 1838 and had eight children. It has been suggested that Minus Tarrant and Nancy McConnell were William M. Tarrant's parents. They were married Feb. 7, 1815, in Warren County, Kentucky.
