I recently ordered a marriage certificate for my 5th gr grandparents, Reuben Wright & Anna Gilbert, who married in 1798, Sussex Co. VA. A Gray Barker was "surety" for this couple & a Benjamin W. Johnston was a witness. I'm trying to find any family connection between this Ben W. Johnston & my Wright and/or Gilbert families. I believe him to be the correct age to have been Benjamin Waddill Johnston who married Polly Bailey in 1800, Sussex Co. VA. Do you have any info at all on this man or family?
