Hi Marja,
Most likely I have contacted you before re: BAILEY surname
which I know connects somehow to my tri-racial line of WEEDEN,WHILDEN,WEELDON/BROWN of SC,NC and VA, BUT not HOW.
I have yet to make ANY CONNECTIONS but keep hoping that
someone has some info for me.
My line is said to have originated in VA and I find the WEEDEN spelling somehow connects to my WEELDONS, and suspect that the WEEDENS interred in the FREEDMANS CEMETERY
in Alexandria, VA are connected, but fail to find ANY clues
from that site.
Find 2 WEELDONS (mulatto) listed for 1900 VA but am unable
to track so working w/the WEEDEN/WEEDON spelling and suspect a connection to the WEEDON slaves of Fredericksburg, VA, but still at a loss to find info.
Find the BAILEY surname in Wilmington, NC, where my WEELDON
ggrands settled.
Thoughts??
Sincerely,
carol wheeldin warren.
