Your Welcome Barbara- I was in the same boat as you. i tracked my line back to my GGG GF in Rutherford Co., TN who born in VA but did not where. Without help from several others i would never have found them in Brunswick, VA. Barbara, there is a website 1790/1800 Virginia Tax List Census. Put that into your Browser and then scroll down to the various counties. Because of the Pr. George reference I sent in my first Email I went to the Pr. george 1790 Personal Tax list. There are several Warthens listed. I suspect that this is your family ancestors. One of them, James Warthen, has another male of tithable age living with him by the name of Jeremiah. I noticed that in the 1850 Wayne County Census that one of the boys was named Jeremiah. Not that common of a name so could be significant. Unfortunately, Pr. George was one of the "burned counties" and records are pretty scarce. In the 1790 Land census it shows James with 300 acres.
