Hello Merialis, Richard W. Fox was originally of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was a son of William and Mary Kendrick Fox. He had been married previously, but married Wilmouth Wright and settled into Putnam County, GA. Wilmouth was about 20 years his junior. When Richard's father, William Fox, died, Richard had been made guardian over his younger unmarried, underaged sisters, whom he took south to GA with his family.
