My family home is Lunenburg County VA. My father, Chalmers Glenn Love, resided in Kenbridge VA until his death in 1984, and his father, Ernest Paul Love, resided in Kenbridge at his death, in 1950, at age 64 years. My great-grandfather is Stephen (sp) Henry Love, but I do not have further details. This probably goes back to before the Civil War. I know that my mother, Elizabeth Love, who is age 87 years and who still resides in Kenbridge, has a book on the Love family geneology. I am told that a portrait of my (I think) great grandfather is or was displayed in the Lunenburg County Courthouse (the historic building). Some of my relations on the Love side are Snead, Terrell (my grandmother). I also cannot be sure, but I believe the above geneology traces back to Harry Love (perhaps this goes back as far as the early 1800's or late 1700's. Hope this is helpful.
