Brian, I don't know if this will help, but I've been searching for more on a James Anderson for a long time. I suspect him, and family to be somehow related to my Huskey family. There were 2 "importees',(possibly bonded servants),to Norfolk,Va.,1711, Anne Huskey and James Anderson. Next,c.1751,Frederick Co.,Va.,Peter Huskey is listed adjoining lands of"Anderson". In 1768, Rowan Co.,NC John Huskey lists James Anderson and John,Jr.as polls. And in a petition, Jefferson Co.,Mo.,1809, James Anderson is listed next to Peter Huskey. The Huskeys had migrated from Edgefield Co.,SC with several other families, including Ogles,Hearsts,Williams, Millers, and Morris'. So the trail of my Huskeys lead from VA down thru the Carolinas, over to Sevier Co.,Tn.,and onto Illinois and Missouri over about a hundred year period. You say your Anderson was in Lunenburg for life. There were Huskeys in Brunswick, Lunenburg's parent county,1745. There is a 1720 land record of a John Huskey in Mecklenburg, Lunenburg's southern neighbor.
Question...do you know of any connection of your Anderson family to the Huskey family or any of the other migrating families mentioned ? Thanks , Al Huskey
