Looking for information on William Thompson (b. circa 1730) who appears on Lunenburg County Road Orders of 1753 along with James Cunningham and William Rogers to do road repairs between Turnip Creek and Falling River. In 1758 Road Orders names Thomas Rogers, Thomas Doughtery,James Doughterty and William Thompson for the same area. Believe that William married Jane Caldwell ... related to the Caldwell's of Cubb Creek fame. Later records show them in Bedford Co., VA later moved to Lincoln Co., KY William is my brick wall ... any information would be appreciated.
