The following entries are on the 1782-1810 Loudoun Co Census. Note that the term Battalion was used for both militia and tax purposes and denotes a district. Only males 16 years or older would appear on the lists.

1787C Third Battalion       Daniel, David and Welch, Wm
1788A Third Battalion       Daniel, David
1789A Third Battalion       Daniel, David

1791C Third Battalion       Daniel, David
1792C Third Battalion       Daniel, David
1793A Third Battalion       Daniel, David and Daniel, Jas.
1794C Third Battalion       Daniel, David and Daniel, Jas. and Steward, Jas. and (1 stud horse)
1795C Third Battalion       Daniel, David & son

1800C Third District       Daniel, David
1802C Third District       Daniel, David
1803C Third District       Daniel, David
1804C Third District       Daniel, David

Note that son James would have been at least 16 years old in 1793.

No mention of a David Daniel in the Loudoun Deed Books nor Will Books. No mention of a David Daniel on the Fairfax Pers. Prop. Tax Lists from 1782-1810.

Birth registration was not required in Virginia until 1853. Also, few early tombstones still exist.
