Hopefully, in posting the will of Elizabeth Wager a researcher may be able to tell me the relationship of Elizabeth Wager to John Barnes of Greensville Co. VA. Elizabeth Wager's will dated 1784 Sussex Co. VA: Legatees: Rebecca Clack, Mary Mooring eldest daughter of Henry Smith, Elizabeth Judkins daughter of George Cryer, Mary Smith daughter of Samuel Magot, Nicholas Cryer, Rebecca daughter of William Waller, Sally daughter of John Barnes, Elizabeth daughter of Ann Ross, Benjamin Chapman, Samuel Cryer. I would appreciate any information that you all might have showing the relationship of the above surnames to John Barnes. John Barnes' wife was named Susanna. John had died by 1796 when their daughter Sally married in Greensville Co. VA and Susanna gave permission Elizabeth Wager was on the 1783 Greensville Co. VA Census, prior to her will of 1784 in Sussex Co. VA. John Barnes was also listed in the 1783 Greensville Co. VA Census. Thanks, Carolyn Anderson cca44@aol.com
