Does anyone know the parents of Franklin Doughton Robinson who was born on 1 May 1829, Grayson, Virginia? He was a native of "old Virginia", who moved to Missouri, from which state he enlisted in the Mexican War on 20 June 1847; he was 18 years old. After serving until the close of the conflict, he was mustered out at Fort Leavenworth in 1848. In the spring of 1849, he cam to California. He settled in Boonville, Mendocino, California and married Orpha C. Hackler on 3 Dec 1853, in Mud Springs, El Dorado, California. He died on the 30 June 1896, Boonville, Mendocino, California. Any information would be appreciated.
