B. participated in Patriotic service.
Captain Thomas West was a captain of foot in the 10th Virginia Regiment, U.S. Revolutionary War. Proof of service is available on Ancestry.com.
Refer to U.S. Revolutionary War Rolls, 1775-1783; Roll 108; 9th Regiment, 1778-79 (folders 243-252); 10th Regiment, 1777-78 (folders 253-263); 10th Regiment,...
Thomas West's muster rolls start at image 871. His 1st Lieut. was Charles Broadwater, 2nd Lieut. was John Coffer, Ensign was Thomas Pearson. I recognize these names as being from Fairfax County, so I suspect that this is the same Thomas West you are researching.
Thomas West lived on his estate called Cameron near Cameron Mills near Alexandria, Virginia.
