Hi, Bonny. Thanks so much for responding to my post on GenForum about the Sagar Family lines.
My interest stems from my interest in the Wheeler line going back through Jonas Wheeler who was first married to Rebecca Maynard and second to Jane Coburn.
The reason for my interest in Jonas Wheeler's Family is that my mother was a Wheeler, daughter of Hugh Wheeler who was son of Eugene Wheeler, son of Thomas Jefferson Wheeler.
Trying to trace Thomas Jefferson Wheeler (TJW) back gets very difficult. We strongly suspect he was the son of Jonas Wheeler and Jane Coburn, because Jonas leaves Thomas Jefferson Wheeler a share of his estate equal to the shares he left to Jonas' proven children. In his will Jonas does not refer to TJW as a son. We can find no other documentation to prove that TJW was Jonas' son, whereas we can find documentation for Jonas' other children. So, after more than ten years of searching, we are still trying to prove whether TJW was Jonas' son. We have hoped to prove the relationship through Jonas' children by them perhaps calling TJW a brother or in some way connecting them.
So, I've spent a lot of time on Jonas' family. Naturally, I've collected a lot of info on Jonas' Family and his children's marriages. This is how I got interested in connecting with Sagar's descendants -- maybe they can add some info and eventually maybe I'll hit some lead that solves our dilemma.
As you noticed on GenForum, I did have some info on Dolly and Julia Ann Wheeler, both of whom married William Sagar, Jr.
I'll be happy to share whatever I have but I suspect you have much more than I do, probably including most or all of what I've got.
