The Virginia Room, Fairfax City Regional Library just reopened her doors Saturday, January 26, 2008.

We are located in Fairfax City in Fairfax County.

I am a volunteer researcher with the Virginia Room. We have researchers that do research for free. There is only cost for copies and postage. (usually 50 cents per page and $2.50 for postage).

Many times if it is just a look-up for information and doesn't need any copying done and we can correspond by email and there is no charge. All we ask is patience, as we do get many requests!!!

It is an awesome facility with outstanding resources. If you can't stop by, then feel free to check us out through our site.

We have the historical newspaper index online that includes the Alexandria Gazette, Fairfax Herald, Fairfax Times, Reston Times and many more. We also have microfiche of the Washington Post as well as many other publications.

You can request copies of the articles or any other research request through our email va_room@fairfaxcounty.gov.

Good luck on your Fairfax County research.
