Can anyone tell me if there is a place in this county called Abernathy? Simeon Argo was in the 5th Alabama Co., B. Calhoun County Sharpshooters. His records listed him as dying in camp of disease. It gives Abernathy as the place. He died May 17, 1862. We know his unit was in Va. at the time of his death. Any help would be greatly appreached.
