The following announcement was printed in the Petersburg Index, Wednesday, January 3, 1872. On Christmas night at the Cathedral by the Right Rev. P. A. Feehan, Mr. George W. Carlin and Miss Annie Theresa Prendergast. The attendants were Mr James Wrenne and Miss Ellie Hardeman, Mr. Gus Bideaux and Mis Mary Morris, Mr. Henry Carlin amd Mils Mary Murnan. The church was crowded to excess with the friends of the bride and groom, who with their attendants, presented a lovely appearance. This wedding took place in Nashville, TN on December 25, 1871. George Walber Carlin served in the Civil War in Virginia before going to work for the Nashville, St. Louis and Chattanooga railroad. Would love to correspond with anyone researching this family.
