Looking for data on the STEWART/STEWARD Family of Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co., VA. WILLIAM EDWARD STEWART was an apprentice in 1832; made harnesses and bridles,etc. Had a brother JAMES STEWART. Was related to JACKSON's in Portsmouth/Norfolk: wrote letter to Uncle Wm. Jackson, c/o James Jackson, also mentioned Aunt Jane. Am trying to find out how the Stewart's and Jackson's were related. Is there someone who could do a census lookup for Stewart's in Petersburg at that time? Would very much appreciate it.
The following from the Petersburg Newspaper Index MAY be same person as author of 1832 letter to my Wm. Jackson, Jr.:
