Hello - this forum doesn't list much of the HUDGENS of Cumberland CO, VA. This short list comes from Rootsweb and not sure of how accurate - see that search engine. Robert Hudgens (1720, VA) married Martha Parker Robert & Martha had X children (see other sources), one is James Hudgens, Cumberland, VA m. Phoebe X James & Phoebe had X children (see other sources), including James R. Hudgens James Robertson Hudgens (1773, Cumberland VA, died in Cheatham, TN, married Elizabeth Gibson (1772, VA)- James & Eliz had X children (see other) including Daniel Hudgens (1807, Cumberland, VA) m. Nancy Delaney Durham of TN (bn 1822). Daniel & Nancy Durham had X children (see Rootsweb, etc) including Josephine Hudgens (1837?) Josephine Hudgens (if it's the Josephine Henrietta Hudgens Fraley, not 100% sure) married William Wesley Fraley (chged to Frala) of the Pittslvania, VA (Cumberland, VA?) landowners. See FRALEY's of VA and/or FROEHLICH's (Fredrick & Chloe Fraley line). I've been trying to find the Fraley-Hudgens link or connection besides this one marriage - both families are prominent landowners in VA in late 1700's-1800's. The Fraley line is easier to research - Hudgens not so much...
