Thank you so much for your time in looking this up for me.

I too noticed that Mr. Benjamin Fenton was a clerk for William Durfey.
William Durfey of Williamsburg was the grandson of Severinus Durfey, the owner of the Durfey Tailor Shop on Duke of Glouster Street in Williamsburg. Severinus had a brother, also a tailor in Wmsbrg., who moved to Charles City Co about 1771. His name was Francis Durfey and that is my line.

I think I need to do some more looking in the deed records in CCC to help flesh out this line. I did copy a few deeds several years ago but there may be more that I did not find.

The names I mentioned in the heading of this query were names of folks the Durfey's married in CCC. I know the Durfey's also married into the Grinstead, Bowry, Spraggins and Walker lines.
I have searched all the possible Durfey lines just in Virginia for over 35 years now in order to try to tie them all into one tree. Difficult...due to all the burned records so every little clue of help from folks like you help to define lines in the various trees.
