Info on Wm. Shields Vaughan can be found on this web site. http://www.hypertree.com/vaughan/williamshields.html He and his wife were Quakers in Charles City Co where William left a will in Will Book 1 pg 73 in 1790 and it was probated in 1791. He evidently was from New Kent Co according to my book on Charles City Co. I do have a bit more info on him if he turns out to be your man. My VA tax records book shows a Wm. Vaughan in Dinwiddie Co in 1784, a Wm. Vaughan in Prince George Co in 1704 and in New Kent in 1704. Hope this helps. Ria ><>
