Elaine, Does the Caroline reference material you have give any information about Samuel Norment (born about 1750 in Caroline County) who married Elizabeth Crenshaw in 1776 in Henrico County. They had ten children. Joseph Norment, their sixth child was born about 1787 and married Catherine Rennolds in 1807 in Essex County. I would be grateful for anything you can share on this Norment family. Additionally, I am trying to find the ancestors of Samuel Franklin Norment born in 1810.
