Burnell,
I have checked this reference and found several mentions
of the Pitts surnames, but no history on the Pitts family.
Here is what I have on all of them:
Bernice graduated in 1922 Edmund Pendleton H.S.
Eugenia graduated in 1918 from Sparta H.S.
G.H. A church clerk at Upper Zion Baptist Church. I believe the G stands for George, your Youngers father.
Samuel E. A Delegate to the House in 1899-1900.

The only mention of Younger Pitts is that he was a Rev.
in 1755 and was arrested with his companion Mr. Pickett but released. This mention is under the heading of the Upper Zion Baptist Church, but does not say he was a pastor there. The mention of the arrest mentioned above was taken
from a book called "Semples History of Baptists in Virginia.
There is a notation that Andrew Broaddus II married a Martha Pitts

There is one entry for the Elliott surname.
J. W. Elliot Sr is a member of the Killwinning Masonic Lodge in 1777-1823.
I wish I had more for you, hope it helps
Elaine
